Step 1: Confirm the Customer’s Design
Every bulk custom bobblehead project starts with the design.
Customers may provide photos, mascot artwork, character designs, sketches, company logos, clothing references, or other images that help us understand exactly what they want to create.
Before sculpting begins, we first confirm the overall design, including important details such as:
- Character or person
- Pose
- Clothing
- Accessories
- Logos
- Base design
- Colors
- Other special requirements
For a company mascot, the customer may already have complete character artwork.
For a custom bobblehead based on a real person, we normally work from clear photographs together with any instructions about clothing, pose, accessories, or branding.
Once the design is clear, our sculptors can begin creating the physical model.
Step 2: Sculpt the Master Model and Get Customer Approval
The second step is creating the master sculpt.
Our artists sculpt the custom model based on the approved design and reference materials.
When the sculpture is ready, we send photos to the customer for review.
The customer can check the shape, proportions, facial features, pose, clothing, accessories, and other important details.
If something needs to be changed, we make the requested revisions and send updated photos for review again.
We continue making reasonable revisions until the customer is satisfied with the sculpted model.
This stage usually takes about one week, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of revisions required.
Only after the customer approves the master sculpt do we move to the next stage.
Step 3: Create and Approve the First Finished Sample
After the sculpted model is approved, we use it to create the first finished sample.
The sample goes through the actual finishing process, including molding, hand finishing, polishing, painting, assembly, and other necessary details.
This is important because the customer is no longer reviewing only a sculpture.
They can now see what the actual finished bobblehead will look like.
We carefully finish and paint this first piece so that it can serve as the standard finished sample for the bulk order.
Photos of the finished sample are then sent to the customer for approval.
The customer can review details such as:
- Overall appearance
- Colors
- Facial details
- Clothing
- Logos
- Accessories
- Base
- Final finishing
This stage normally takes approximately one week.
We do not begin full bulk production until the finished sample has been confirmed.
Step 4: Begin Bulk Production
Once the customer approves the finished sample, we begin production of the complete order.
The approved sample becomes the standard that our production team follows for the remaining pieces.
Production time depends mainly on the order quantity and complexity of the design.
For most orders of 500 pieces or fewer, bulk production can usually be completed within approximately 3–4 weeks after the finished sample has been approved.
Larger orders may require additional production time.
Throughout bulk production, our team works to keep the shape, colors, details, and overall appearance consistent with the approved sample.
Because many finishing and painting processes are completed by hand, slight variations between individual pieces may naturally occur.
How Long Does the Complete Process Take?

Express Air Shipping by FedEx
After bulk production is completed, we usually ship orders by FedEx air express.
For many destinations, express air shipping normally takes approximately 5–8 days.
Air shipping is a good choice for most custom bobblehead orders because it provides relatively fast and reliable international delivery, especially when the products are needed for a specific event date.
Sea Shipping for Larger Orders
For larger orders—especially several hundred pieces or more—sea shipping may also be an option if the customer has enough time before the required delivery date.
The main advantage of sea shipping is cost.
For larger and heavier shipments, sea freight can be significantly less expensive than air shipping.
However, it also takes considerably longer.
Depending on the destination and shipping arrangement, sea shipping may take approximately 20–30 days.
Therefore, we normally discuss this option with the customer based on:
- Order quantity
- Package volume and weight
- Delivery destination
- Required in-hand date
- Shipping budget
If time is the priority, air shipping is normally the better choice.
If the order is large and the schedule is flexible, sea shipping may provide significant savings.
Why Do We Ask for Approval Before Bulk Production?
For custom-made products, customer approval is one of the most important parts of the process.
